The Referral Room
What’s Happening
Private pay practices are built on relationships. And most of us are not building enough of them.
The Referral Room is a 90-minute virtual networking event for therapists building private pay practices, whether you are fully there or working toward it. You want to expand your referral network, meet colleagues across specialties and states, and walk away with real connections. Not just business cards.
This is what to expect.
We start with a short teaching segment on one focused networking skill you can use immediately. Something practical. Something specific. Then we move into structured breakout rooms where you have real conversations with colleagues across the country.
This is not a webinar. Cameras are on. Come ready to connect.
If you have been telling yourself you should be networking more but you have not figured out where to start, this is your where to start.
This month's focus:
Most therapists have never been intentionally mentored, and most don't know how to mentor someone else.
We know supervision. Supervision is structured, regulated, tied to licensure. Mentorship is the informal thing that shapes careers. The person who takes your call. The one who introduces you to their referral network.
It doesn't have to be a big program. It doesn't have to be a year-long commitment. It just has to be intentional.
This session is about how to bring someone alongside you as they build their practice, or how to let someone bring you alongside them. And how every mentorship relationship becomes a referral relationship.
We'll cover:
Why mentorship isn't a title, it's a relationship, and what the informal version actually looks like
What actually gets exchanged in a working mentorship (hint: it's not advice)
Why every mentorship relationship becomes a referral relationship, whether you name it or not
After the teaching segment, we break into pairs. Round 1, you name someone you've been informally mentoring or someone you've quietly wanted to ask. Round 2, you draft the actual outreach with a partner.
You leave with a message you're sending this week.
This is for therapists building private pay practices, whether you're fully there or working toward it. Cameras on. Real conversations.
This session is sponsored by Miyndsett EHR, a practice management platform built exclusively for private pay clinicians and clinical supervisors. Four community members can attend this session for free, covered by the sponsor.

Who It Is For
You are a therapist building a private pay practice. Fully there or on the way. You know that referral relationships matter. You are tired of the alternative, which is sitting alone at your desk, hoping the right clients find you on Google.
You want to build your network without the awkward business-card mixers, the LinkedIn cold pitches, or the networking events that turn into disguised sales pitches.
You want to meet people. Real people. Doing real work.
