The Referral Room is a 75-minute virtual networking event for therapists building private pay practices, whether you are fully there or working toward it. You want to expand your referral network, meet colleagues across specialties and states, and walk away with real connections. Not just business cards.

We start with a short teaching segment on one focused networking skill you can use immediately. Something practical. Something specific. Then we move into structured breakout rooms where you have real conversations with colleagues across the country.

This month's focus:
You will spend your whole career meeting people who dismiss what you do.
Colleagues who think your modality is bogus. Family who think therapy is self-indulgent. Insurance reps who think your rate is inflated. Peers who think private pay is unethical. Strangers on the internet who have opinions about your niche.
If you don't have a settled place to stand, every one of those interactions will pull a piece of you.
This session is about knowing your ground so well that you don't have to defend it. You just represent it.
We'll cover:
How to name your ground before you need it
What to say when someone challenges your modality, your niche, your rate, or your approach
How to tell the difference between a real question and a fight worth walking away from
After the teaching segment, we'll break into pairs. Round 1, we get honest about whose voice has the most power over you. Round 2, we practice the actual language out loud, with a partner who pushes back just enough to make it real.
You'll leave with a line you can actually use.
